Whether you're struggling with trauma, substance use, or relationship issues, my aim is to help you feel secure, confident, and connected.

You might be feeling hurt, angry, and uncertain after being betrayed by someone close to you. Is your substance use causing problems in your relationships, leaving you feeling disconnected and alone? Maybe you never learned how to have healthy conflict and struggle to express your thoughts and feelings to your partner.

When we are faced with feelings of distrust, resentment, guilt, or shame the hope for change can feel far away. Therapy can provide the space for you to identify these feelings and teach you how to move forward.

Hi, I’m Kennedy, a Registered Psychotherapist who specializes in working with adults experiencing trauma and substance use and couple therapy. I work with couples in distress, first responders and people who have experienced considerable childhood trauma. I have extensive experience working with addictions, anxiety, depression, anger and relationship issues. Quite often people find these issues go hand in hand with experiences of trauma.

When I work with my clients my hope is to make everyone feel safe within the context of therapy and I combine my knowledge and experience with authenticity, compassion and genuine curiosity. I practice from an attachment, relational and neurobiological framework and take an integrative approach to mental health and wellness. I tend to work with people who have not had success with other forms of short-term therapy such as CBT, and clients who are looking for something more in-depth.

I am a Certified Complex Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and hold a post-graduate certificate in Addiction Treatment and Prevention. I am currently also a candidate in the Advanced Training Program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (ATPPP) through the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society & Institute.
